If they do hold back again wouldn't they just be setting up the same scenario they did this year. They hold em back to release larger numbers this last quarter. Once again they are crying staffing and training bottlenecks. Well if you hold guys back early 2016 just to have a bunch leave next fall wouldn't that create the same exact problem? It'd be nice if they can find a balance between training capacity and release people to DAL while still making the numbers. Holding guys back just kicks the can down the road and creates a cycle of that.

They do not need to bring back anymore 200s. That doesnt help. We hire people and they get all excited and say we need more 200s and are not looking 6mo-1yr down the road. Bring more planes and easier it is to be low staffing again. Creates more stagnation. We need the revolving door.

I agree, and from what I've heard Delta doesn't like the idea of holdings back, because that stagnates their "pool". Also, the longer they hold us back, the harder it will be to meet the contractual obligations to move all 180 in 2016

They sure take their time. I can't remember, but I wanna say the last one was paid out on the 15th of May.
Seriously though, it is awarded on the last day of the month, and they hold onto it for 3 more weeks!?!?! That's a lot of interest-free loan!

With interest rates being what they are those three weeks of withholding would translate into $.10 in interest for me. Meh!

I really hope you have a better understanding than this of how pay works. You know the check you get on the 16th is actually for work you did the previous month. They get an interest free loan from you every pay period!

Hello, just wondering what the DOH is for the most junior JFK Line holder and the DOH for the most junior LGA line holder.

Thanks in advance!

LGA junior lineholder for Sept is a May 2011 hire, JFK junior lineholder for Sept is a March 2014 hire. Without me going into more detail here some are likely to draw incorrect conclusions from this information.

I'm willing to bet next month junior line holder for JFK drops to at least Jan 15.

I always thought the 16th pay check is considered the 1st paycheck of the month which includes half your guarantee for the current months work and over 75 and perdiem for the previous months work??

So I agree with what you're saying in regards to credit over 75hrs work from the previous month but other wise the 16th pay check is for the current months work?? I probably have it wrong I'm sure
