This proves you know absolutely nothing about Delta.

He isn't wrong... All of our mainline overlords are beholden to their shareholders #1, and their employees are a secondary consideration. They aren't in this for charity.

I wouldn't count on a flow, but ATL will do what they have to protect their feed.

Flow isn't required right now, may be required in the future.

Delta employees will tell you a flow doesn't protect their culture. But culture can be learned and respected. AA is showing that. To each their own.

That's why I said "if that's your goal". I don't like it when I fly with somoene whom I think is a top-notch person as well as a good pilot and I find out that they were told "thanks, you're not Delta material, so go back and keep flying for us for less". Truly irks me, as their system is obviously flawed to let the good ones get away. Has certainly made me re-think my desire to move on to Delta.

Don't get me wrong. I own it. I could have done better in the HR. But to tell me I am not worthy of a mainline job at Delta and then I turn around and fly a delta owned aircraft with delta passengers onboard is a load of crap. I still want to work at delta one day, but I doubt now this will ever happen. Delta lost out on a great person and asset. Maybe United will want me soon..who knows. The SSP was great for some and even worse for many more.

Wouldn't the fact that Delta is willing to spend arguably more money on full, 2-day interviews proof it isn't just about the money?

The point is a no-flow policy is about control. It's unfortunate some people didn't get past the interview but now it's time to own to it (most have) and don't spout off emotionally on this vacuum of a forum. It goes nowhere.

Love seeing this. Can't wait to join the team! I've only heard great things about the culture and team environment.

It's actually about money, everyone knows Delta culture weeds out more pilots. If they let anyone in the door, probation would eliminate them requiring the company to waste tens of thousands more than a more extensive interview.

Their process isn't perfect. They've hired some not so good ones as well. And they've also received a lot of good pilots and a few bad ones from flow as well. I don't have the statistics but I believe the percentages between the two methods are close. What I don't understand is it seems that outside of being from the military everyone else seems to be equal. Whereas American seems to value someone flying their brand. The cultures between American and Delta on hiring and flow are completely different, yet both are very good airlines.
