Any rumor control on an ATL base? Been hearing more and more lately. Not necessarily HQ heading there but possibly a base. Apparently ExpressJet is closing their mx base there soon. Maybe to cover some of their flying?

they pay for uniforms? luggage?
training is good? supportive environment, or one strike and don't let the door hit you on the way out?!

EFB: In the works. Early next year is what they're quoting us now.

They pay for half of your initial uniform purchase. Luggage is on your own.

Training is great. Really. While we are washing out around 15-20%, the company really wants you to pass and will work with you through as long as you keep a good attitude.

In the works for EFB, testing is going as planned. Q1 2017 for rollout seems to be the target, so don't expect to lug paper around for long. iPad and Surface being tested, no idea what the verdict will be. Speculation abound!

Uniform, company pays 50% of initial purchase.
Luggage, you're on your own there.
Training is superb, put the effort in and they'll work with you. They know who does and doesn't try.

Edit, anotherwriter beat me. Too slow this time...

thx for the info.
As someone already typed on the jet, I'm not sure if that's an advantage because of knowing the plane.. or a disadvantage because I might have to unlearn some procedures and relearn them (?)
If approved, would the EFB mean purchasing your own iPad or would they provide?
I have an iPad and my current company uses EFB, so I have the Jepp App, obviously.. not sure if that matters or if it could be re-installed or whatever.

Also.. what is a typical line-holder day? How many legs typically flown? I see on flightaware that there are some short legs, like JFK-SYR.. and some long ones like IAH-JFK..

Survey is out everyone. Please send the MEC your hopes and dreams and see what comes out the other side of the airline contract/LOA eight-ball.

Can anyone answer if captain upgrades are solely after 1000 121 time or if they allow the use of PIC 135 time to count toward the 1000?

Thx
