The ready reserve rules need to be reviewed. Especially when you bid p2, but the company has the ability to assign ready p1. Or vice versa.

I don't know other regionals contact regarding reserve, but having 7 FOs on RR per base per day seems excessive.

Lurking...does ready reserve start at 0530 in N.Y.? Is that company wide / dependant on anything else?

P1 is 0530-1330
P2 is 1230-2030
P3 is 1830- 2300?

Pretty sure it's company wide.

I have to agree I think we have the worst reserve rules! If we are going to operate like delta and do everything else like them I say we copy their reserve rules too!

If mainline can operate with no ready reserves, I don't see why Endeavor can't do the same.

Varies from month to month, its published in the bid pack, which I'm convinced people don't actually read. For October it is as follows; RRA in DTW, JFK & MSP is 0530-1330, LGA is 0500-1300. RRP in DTW & MSP is 1330-2030, JFK and LGA is 1300-2100. RRL in DTW & LGA is 1900-2359, JFK is 1905-2359 and MSP is 1830-2359

My home is about a three hour drive from DFW. I am DTW based and have been at 9E for about 6 months. Would I be foolish to make a run at Envoy, or should I stay put. Looking for some constructive feedback, and you folks here have been in this game way longer than I have.

What would be the motivation to run to Envoy? So you can make the same money you make now but commute to Chicago so you can then make less money in year 2-3? You did see a June 2016 new hire just upgraded right? What is the current upgrade time at Eagle? The new deal there seemed pretty underwhelming to me. The Envoy flow doesn't really look to be any better than the SSP. Realistically the SSP and flow don't matter anyway at this point - most people will be at a Major way before the SSP and flow play out. Go to where you can get your PIC, go to where you can get paid and go to where you don't have to commute. Can you give us your list of pros/cons?

I think they were saying upgrades are around 3-3.5 years at Envoy. The biggest draw for me right now is the easier commute and overnights at home.

Pros:
1. The commute from AUS or SAT to DFW is much better. I could even drive if the flights look bad.
2. Envoy and AA both have DFW bases, so I may be able to keep the better commute forever.
3. If the flow is real, then the Envoy interview could be my last airline interview ever.
4. Envoy has overnights at AUS and SAT, so I can see the family at work.
5. Many of the flights from SAT to DFW are on Envoy metal.
6. I would rather be at AA in the long run over Delta based on where I currently live.

Cons:
1. I go to Envoy and miss out on 9E's replacement for the DGI.
2. Stay at 9E and upgrade to CA sooner but now have to commute to NYC from AUS or SAT.
3. Envoy can't keep hiring up and stagnates and drags out the flow.
4. I lose my seniority at 9E and have to start over.
5. Envoy goes away before I can flow.
6. I have less access to Potbelly sandwiches after I print my schedule
