No they release seat locks if someone with 0 company hours get a captain position. Next time around.

Am interested in 9E but it'd be lateral move; therefore I want to be sure it's worth it.
What would the chances be for getting a -900? (Don't care about base- would be able to move)
Coming in with ~800 part 121 hours (and 3500 total from part 91) what would upgrade be running?
At this rate you could upgrade on the 200 before the snow is fully gone come next spring. That is if you get in now.

Hopefully the reserve captains quit bailing and/or some new ones are allowed to replace them... DTW and MSP are quite clearly shrinking to lifer only status

Yea really! I thought DTW would be very junior but I'm starting to see/fly with a lot of lifers out of there. Especially on the -900.

Has anyone here been in longterm or upgrade training in late November? If so, how does the training department treat Thanksgiving? Are we stuck in class or do we get to go home?

Last year for initial we had Thanksgiving and the day after off, class on Saturday and Sunday. They treated it as a weekend where you could positive space home, time allowing.

I believe per contract that is a guaranteed day off during long term along with Christmas and New Year day. Other holidays are fair game to train on.

So looks like the most junior upgrade on 16-04 initial is a June 2016 new hire (not return to work). Pretty close to the guess of July.

Really surprised they didn't fill any DTW 200 CA vacancy. they are extremely short staffed there... I understand the want/need to grow NY, but you can't let the rest of the operation suffer.

i would assume he/she use to work here since the company time was lowered to 350ish and no way to get those hours and trained in 3 months. I know guys senior that did not get the award. Interesting. Anyone know the story?

Not to mention they positive space you back and forth from MSP for training. No standing by, hoping to make it home for the holidays. Do any other regionals do that? Pretty nice perk from what I can tell.
