Basically you pay for a bed in a house with a lot of people. It comes in two basic variants: hot and cold bunk. Cold bunk means you have a specific bed to your name. Hot bunk means you just show up and grab whatever is available. Try to avoid the ladder.

Generally prices range from 200 to 300/mo. based on what I've heard. I'm paying 275/mo. near LGA. There is a large collection of them in Kew Gardens which is directly in between LGA and JFK. When you get near the point of needing one email your base manager (PM me if you need that) and they're supposed to be keeping a list of all the crashpads in the area.

There is a link somehwere on the DCI part of delta net that has all of deltas flight numbers and who they belong too. Trying to find it now...

Amen....#bflife needs it's own thread. Though hanging out in the shack waiting for a tow-over can be entertaining. I love having to explain a BF arrival on the p.a.

Delta is not going to put its other regionals in NYC when Endeavor is wholly owned, and has better operating numbers than mainline out of NYC. GoJets in NYC, cost Delta the JD power award, thus Delta gave them a new contract. Funny thing is, Delta gave GoJet a new contract because we couldn't take the 700's, since Republic was giving up the E170's, and we needed to take them. Then the E170's didn't come because Delta found out it would lose departure slots on the east coast that Republic owns. So instead they work a DIP deal that keeps the slots, and transfers the C-Series to DAL, at a steep discount. So as a result, Endeavor gets pushed further to NYC.

I just accepted a CJO with Endeavor this fall and was wondering what headsets most of the pilots are using on the CRJs. My current pair is not TSO approved and I am debating on picking up a set of Bose. Would the Bose be overkill?

I think if you can afford it, having active noise reduction would be good. I use Telex 750 airmen and it works great at $125 (bought on ebay) but the wind noise can be annoying at times. I probably should have bought the 850.

Yeah I'd say the BOSE is overkill. When I was an instructor flying pistons it was perfect, but for the CRJ I have a david clark dc pro x. The dc pro x is super light weight and is a great noise canceling head set. Plus it is greater than 500 dollars cheaper than the bose, and it is made here in the USA with an amazing warranty. So if you move up to large aircraft in the future the david clark would be perfect.

What headset do you have that isn't TSO'd, out of curiosity...
