Totally forgot that shoving new hires into NYC is going to slow down seniority in DTW. Cheers to another month on reserve.

Idk why, it's just silly. Then the company will have guys TDY to DTW.

The funny part is if I commuted to JFK or LGA I would have a line on the 200 or on the 900 in October. If DTW continues like this for the next few months then there are going to be a lot of guys stuck on reserve for +3 months.

I will say that the guys that spent years on reserve are much more patient than I am. It just sucks. I've just been dropping every reserve day I can in favor of picking up trips for 200% on OT.

Yea that's the good thing about flica. How's the reserve grid on the 900 DTW? I'll be on the 900 later this month but I'll be able to hold a line.

At least you can drop reserve days! Was nearly impossible in the winter.

Well, if the mock is accurate, then we will have 12 YEAR guys back on reserve (not by choice, and who have already spent a DECADE on reserve) in DTW for the foreseeable future.

More appropriate to say f-en thanks Delta. GoJet and Skywest are in effect being rewarded for lower performance numbers. Be a different story if there was a stipend or something to attract people or make it worthwhile for commuters to go there. Instead, the slow release of their plans makes it very difficult to plot a course. Heck, every couple of months the percentage of New York opperations increases by 5%. If I remember right they announced 45% two years ago. Right now it seems smoke and mirrors are the norm to attract new pilots at all regionals.
