For what it's worth, we have some of the 'newest' 200s around, younger than a good chunk of the other DCI 200s and even 700s. I have no clue for MX when the really expensive checks start.
@Higney, how would you see dual-qual affecting quality of the lines we have? Haven't been fully convinced on the benefit for us of having it that way.

I'd like to see lines limited to one aircraft, I don't desire getting out of a 200 and jumping right into a 900 then back into a 200. If I really had my way, I'd say forget blended rate, pay it all at the 900, but I don't so what does it matter?

well that's basically what we have now ( unless you mean we could bid back and forth every month in the monthly bid )

Back to reserve, I've seen scheduling manipulate trips to avoid giving a trip to a senior pilot bidding first out because it'd put him over guarantee, would they be able to manipulate the 900 flying to the junior pilots and the 200 (cheaper rates) to the senior reserves? Scheduling has way too much ability to manipulate things as it is, and we have no ability to bid for open flying as reserves now... so I'm a BIG FAT NO!!!!

I was talking to the CA alpa rep the other day and he brought up some good points. 9E will probably be one of the last carriers to fly the 200 for Delta. It is just a stopgap currently so Delta doesn't have to drop the routes to the spoke stations (or operate them with large, unprofitable, equipment).
Once 9E is settled in NYC the next move is to start replacing 200 flying with two class aircraft. Does that mean we will be putting 200's back in the desert? Possibly. Does that mean 200 flying will shift from NYC back to DTW/MSP? Possibly. It is hard to predict that far out in the future. What we do know right now is 9E management is playing the game slow and steady. They don't want to bite off more than they can chew and the NYC 200 bases are putting the pressure on right now.
Once NYC is settled you can bet that Daddy D will have more airplanes/routes for us to fly.

Question about pass travel. I start class in two weeks and I understand that you can list a spouse/domestic partner and children but let's say you aren't married can you list someone as your travel companion? Like a buddy from college or your brother/sister or girlfriend/boyfriend? Or do they have to be your spouse/partner to travel with you? And if you can list them do they get the same benefits that you do or are their benefits different than yours (minus JS privileges of course)

Pass travel is for immediate family (parents, spouse, children under 24. No siblings) or domestic partners only. 9E does not offer buddy passes and even if they did I wouldn't wish that kind of hell on anyone. Whoever is listed is granted the same non-rev priority as you.
In order to qualify as a domestic partner you have to provide proof of 6 months of financial dependence on each other to qualify for pass benefits.
