It's like the sky is falling every 5 days. Enough.

I'm not saying the sky is falling, I'm saying that it could fall. Is it likely, no, but nobody knows what's going to happen in the next 6 months. Do I think DTW and MSP are going to significantly shrink, no. But it could happen. So if somebody lives in DTW or MSP and is on the outside looking in, they need to be able to see what the situation is, to make a choice of where they want to go.

Excuse me for being a realist and not swallowing the company koolade 24/7

Nothing at the regionals is remotely predictable 6 months out.

All is well. As mentioned earlier, CJO movement alone will allow movement into both sides of the seating chart for Dtw and Msp.

Numbers may remain the same-ish for both bases (200/900) with growth in NYC (200/900), but movement alone to DL will allow those who really want Msp or Dtw to get it. No need to think all is lost, at the moment growth happens to be nyc, guess what- those super junior (new hires) go to NYC. When more new hires come, that backfills NYC for those who are now more senior to move to where they want. Happened a decade ago for me, will happen for the next new hire class. Guess what, it's short term and in hindsight it worked out well.
I think this is spot on for the FO's but unless you have some insight I do not, I think the captain spots in DTW and MSP, especially on the 900, are going to be tough to get for a while... the captain movement to Delta is pretty much done and most of those left (at least on the 900) don't seem to have any interest in going anywhere else at this point. Short of a flow for the guys that were interested but turned down I just don't see many openings (assuming the company even backfills those openings, which they haven't done on the last two vacancies)

I think he was saying that for those who want MSP will be able to get it as FO while those who do not care about the base will upgrade in NY.

I had class a few months ago, someone came down from upper management to talk with us about the future plans. I forget his name but this guy was one that knew the inner workings and was one to make and execute decisions.
He did tell our class that, they will be filling NYC heavily over the next few months. Come end of 2017 we will be pulling out of NYC and will be gone in 2018. Most of my class wanted NYC, and actually got it. So this news really wasn't good for us to hear.

I hear we are getting a flow to Golden Touch. Quick upgrades to left seat if you want to do the C gates to blast fence route.

Are you saying that Endeavor will be pulling out of NYC as in closing the NYC base in 2018? Interesting
