Have to disagree here 200 schedules suck plan and simple. Looking at top guy in DTW 200 has 15 days off and top 900 guy has 18-19 off same goes for NYC! unless you judge QOL as a $5 pay cut and working more! 900 is a better route, besides the fact that they arnt bringing anymore 200's from the desert!
But they weren't referring to "top" guys, they're referring to bottom. JR guys on the 200 have far better scheduling options than jr guys on the 900. At least that certainly holds true for everyone who went through my class. Six months from now, when the hiring levels back out that might change again. But right now, you're moving up the 200 list much faster than the 900 if you're less than a year seniority.

No. All vacancies are filled based on seniority, not current domicile.
If you're a jfk 200 and your top choice is DTW 900 it can not be awarded to someone junior to you (unless you've made changes that freeze your position) regardless of where they're at.

The company seems to always be behind the curve with manning, they will build up NY and then pay 40 people to TDY to MSP for 4 months. Makes no sense, just like they now allow people to drop trips on green days and then pay someone else 150% to pick it up.

I don't see that happening. Delta would rather have us fly than any other carrier. If we continue to grow all that will happen is us picking up more routes as contract end. I would think in 2-5 years it will be Endeavor and SkyWest left fling Delta passengers. Though it's all speculation... and that speculation has lead me to choose Endeavor over other carriers. I live in Detroit.
