Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
#5562
Our last two vacancies have had 0 FO positions in either MSP or DTW on both the 200 & 900.
Across the fleet there are ~200 FOs based at MSP out of 1600+ pilots, and it seems to go senior. That number seems to be shrinking as SKW moves in and we move East.
I wish I would've known before coming here that the goal was to be a NYC airline; it's probably my least favorite place in the country to live or fly. This is obviously just one idiot's opinion.

Especially with so few data points under your belt.
You'll learn quickly that the plan is never really what it exactly ends up being... Which is neither a good or bad thing. Just never base your life off of two vacancies or any grand future game plan mgt tells you.
They might know... But the only one I know that knows for sure is delta.

Absorb is the wrong word but there's talk of something more than the SSP/DGI in the future. ...and that's really all it is right now - talk.
Also I've told my referrals that the DGI is a great thing to have in your back pocket but not something to take for granted. Plan accordingly.
As far as NYC flying goes: a lot of our new hires are east coasters or even NY locals who prefer those bases. Let's not start running around yelling the sky is falling just yet.
Who knows? Maybe we'll get to fly into LGA often enough to actually understand what Ops is saying... Lemonade out of lemons.

Realistically how fast is the "average joe" regional pilot getting from 1500H to 717B NYC? I would say 5 years minimum - at the very least. Sure the guys who network well and have great resumes will be there sooner. It's a wash I suppose - with the difference being better pay and a guaranteed interview.

I personally would say there's about 99.9% chance against that. But I would not say there's 0 chance. Heck look at all the internet warriors that thought they had Delta and Pinneacle figured out during and after the bankruptcy. We were supposed to be "Comaired" by now.
