Wth are you talking about? Flexibility is a matter of the contract and legs available. Guess what, both variables are greater at mainline. Not saying leaving a senior CA spot to junior FO spot won't have the moments of QOL frustration, but in the end (talking a couple years down the line), it's a whole different ballgame. If someone wants to stay in the top 10% at a regional, so be it, but the long term gain is huge. It's all a matter of perspective and age these days.

What are reserve and upgrade times currently in New York? Also is it possible to get LGA as a new hire?

1) Reserve not sure, but likely quick on both 200/900. Lots going there recently.
2) One year on the 200 currently, new vacancy with plenty more NYC captain spots
3) Very possible

This 60/month hiring far exceeds attrition/growth we are currently seeing, anybody heard any noise for down the line? 200 fleet numbers?

0 FO or CA vacancies in MSP on the 2 & 9. Am I reading that correctly?

That's right but that doesn't necessarily mean you won't get it if you bid for it. Someone may move out of MSP on this vacancy causing an opening. When I bidded for DTW 900 last vacancy there wasn't any positions open if I remember correctly but I got it on the secondary.

Really? Because there has been almost 300 new hires since I started and the seniority list has only grown by 100 spots. Maybe it doesn't simply work that intuitively when it comes to hiring/attrition, but it seems that we are shedding a good amount of folks as well.

I did my OE in early April, and I got a line in LGA starting today.

Not really surprised. I imagine there will be a bit of movement with the opening of New York for the 200's. That being said it looks like they are "desperate" to fill those slots. I'm hoping to grab DTW 900 FO if there are secondaries available.

Plan accordingly folks. I do believe it's been said that appoximately 1/2 of the airline will be in New York by year's end if not sooner.
