When I interviewed last Thursday, was told by several captains including the one doing the presentation, that current upgrade is 24months.

On which airframe?

Didn't pay attention to the 900, but the most recent upgrade on the 200 was a March 2015 hire. That's significantly less than 24 months. They were probably just giving an average value.

They were all MSP900 Captains, and that is really good to hear about Mar 2015 upgrading. He also said that the 900 upgrade is about 4 years.

I don't see how that is even possible. We are on the verge of not having enough upgrades and possibly forcing upgrades and hiring street CA's. 4 years? Ugh?

Well I am sure the 900 would be significantly more senior then the 200. I bet even if they do wind up hiring street captains, it will be strictly for the 200 while 900 will be a few year upgrade/transition.

And that's why the smart and the older folks choose the 200!

I don't think the 900 will be a 4yr upgrade. Yes a little longer than the 200 definitely but I don't think 4yrs. I may be wrong though. When they called me and even asked me when I was in the office in DTW it was explained to me that they we're trying to keep better track of the flight times because they don't want to skip over any guys that may be close to having the time to upgrade. I do think the company required time will drop so they can get the guys they need into the left seat.

I think the revised 16-02 was MAY 15...

But, either way NOT 24 months.

All the old guys in my class chose the 900 so they could "fly more". Well, they are just getting off reserve, and the young guys have weekends off next month.
