Not that I'm complaining about more time off!
MSP similar ... not complaining, just surprised. (I did bid for more credit.)

Need that flexibility to pick up all the flying the rest of DCI and the 717's can't cover. This allows for plenty of reserve lines and extra days off for lineholders to pick up flying. (sadly that's only said half sarcastically) Instead of just giving us the extra flying up front so we can build it into our lines, it's thrust on us short notice to cover with extra reserve lines.

Sad but true.

When 9E covers flying for the other Connection carriers, is it done with 200 flying only or both 200 & 900?

I bid for credit as a DTW 200 FO and was assigned 96 credit and 84 block for July.

Hi everyone!

I have a question about commuting. I live close to SHV and I want to fly for Endeavor. How hard is it to commute out of SHV? What is the best base to commute to out of there? I am also looking at ExpressJet and Envoy out of DFW, but they don't look like nearly as good a place to work as Endeavor. Is the pain of commuting for Endeavor better than moving to Dallas to work for ExpressJet and Envoy with the ultimate goal of getting to Delta?

If you want the best possible outcome, get a job at Endeavor and then move to MSP or DTW area. The cost of living is probably similar to SHV and those are both Delta bases. Heck, I am moving from SoCal to work at 9E and that's about as big a move as you can get but I told myself I'd never commute to an airline job again. Living in base is huge for QOL.

I worked for Eagle 10+ years ago and commuted to RSV in DFW from my home. Commute was easy. Commuting to reserve was horrible.

Thanks for the response! If I were single, I would move in a heartbeat and not think twice about it. But, I'm married with 2 kids and I don't want to uproot them if I don't have to. How can I research the availability of flights for me to commute? What factors do I need to consider?
