Either way, the procedures for the EFB require it to be in airplane mode and specifically say that you won't use an external device while using it. There won't be any gps on the 9E EFBs.

Wow, suddenly I really don't care if we get the EFB's then. Previous company had GPS enabled iPads that allowed us to use at least taxiway diagrams with an imposed position. What a joke.

Yeah, if we can't have gps, I'd just rather carry around this 40lb bag and post paper changes every 2 weeks......no, wait, I'd rather not do that. Guess I'll just have to taxi without a moving blue dot?

Meh, unless it can also highlight my cleared taxi route, I'm still looking out the windows to see where I am and where I am going.
