Hey everyone, new user. Planning on applying at 9E soon. Any recent interviewees who's brains I may pick about the interview? As not to clutter up the thread, a PM is fine.

Just study aviationinterviews.com gouge; spot on. I found it was not necessary to purchase a membership as the questions displayed and parts of questions displayed was more than adequate to prepare. If you get called for the interview then you should have an excellent shot at getting a job offer in person.

During the week there is a LGA-DCA that operates every hour and is usually pretty empty. Plenty of options between the two metro areas.

We do DCA and IAD from JFK. I see turns or overnights to both on my schedule pretty regularly. Always helps to commute on your own company's aircraft.

Accepted the CJO recently.

What are the chances of getting -900 MSP on Day-1 as the oldest guy in a class or at least bidding over to MSP prior to the end of training?

Thanks.

Pretty good if they offer it. Reserve time is going to be the longest option. I'd suggest starting on the -200, get off reserve, then bid for the -900 once you can hold a line. Just my .02.

Follow-up question about that (if y'all don't mind):

What's it look like on the -900 for JFK/LGA? Pretty long time on reserve there as well, or much shorter in comparison? How about the -200 in JFK/LGA and MSP?

Appreciate any insight! Just trying to evaluate my living options a little further before class in 2 weeks.

Reserve for 900 will be shorter out of LGA at the moment compared to JFK. 200 NYC, no clue, hasn't officially opened so lines are anyone's best guess.

My greatest fear is getting the -200 in NYC but I will be a pretty "old" new hire, so I doubt it will be an issue for me. Ha ha. Thanks for all the info everyone.

Well, look at it this way, if you do get it as the oldest, you'll have a bunch below you. Depending on how many lines they have, you could end up with not even a month reserve. Happened to guys in my class who were assigned DTW200. Not to mention many others will be hired in quickly, so you'll gain good relative seniority.

You'll have a chance at your base of choice soon enough, welcome and enjoy!
