Yep, if i'm correct it is mostly used for initial. I couldn't get it for recurrent.

I am doing most of my MT in PHX but my MV and LOE is all in MSP.

I think that's been the general trend. Something about keeping the examiners in MN.

Anyone have experience commuting from the greater DC or Richmond area to any of your bases? I live halfway between both so IAD/DCA/RIC are all options for me.

It's not really that, the sim is a POS when it comes to AQP type rides or recurrent LOE's. And the computers there make it hard to issue temporary certificates in many cases. It's fine for training/MV though. There have been a few done there and then the student has had to come to MSP to redo the LOE because of Phx sim issues.
