Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?
#411
I have spent a lot of time perusing the threads for the different regionals and the one thing I've noticed about the Endeavor thread (and I've read every post) is almost every reply is positive. The other threads are just a cesspool of negativity. Used to be a regional pilot and am looking to get back in and am seriously considering Endeavor. Would anyone be willing to answer some questions via PM? I would like to get perspectives from both new hires and veterans. Thanks in advance.

How are things at Endeavor? Anybody that knows my post history knows I have ranted that mainline needs to provide support and resources to their regional feed. Like what happened to Colgan was terrible. Delta is giving a lot of support to Endeavor, and I think this shows in our product and people. This has been going on for some time, and with the new-ish pilot retention bonuses and upwards movement via the SSP, they are cleaning up the pilot specific needs, too.
I'd like to wave a magic wand and make us all mainline employees, but I can't. Til then, I will take this. Oh, and management seems to want to work with us, not against us. Especially is you live in one of our bases or have an easy commute...you may want to look closely into Endeavor.

Cool, thanks.
So I take it 'positive space' is just like the Space A we had in the military - if there is a seat you can have it if not you're SOL. The positive space extends to your immediate family also correct ?
Endeavor seems like the best fit for me, I look forward to joining ya'll.

As a new hire in training you have the ability to be positive spaced back and forth to home and training whenever you have 2 or more consecutive days off. They will not bump a passenger off a sold out flight for this to happen though since you are not working or heading to work another flight. You will get the seat if at the time of booking from scheduling if there is a seat available. Then they won't sell that seat.
Positive space can be a deadhead which is when you are working and getting paid to fly as a passenger. If you are going to work a flight in a downline city they will bump paying passengers off. They have these built into most trips and they pop up when things fall apart after weather and flights cancel and they need to reroute crews.
Non-revving is the company perk for pleasure travel. You are not a revenue passenger, hence "non-rev". You get a seat after all paying passengers board and if there is a seat left over on any delta carrier. Your priority is what separates each carrier. You get the highest priority on your own company aircraft and lesser priority on other Delta carriers. Endeavor has priority over every other delta connection carrier other than that carriers own aircraft.
Jumpseating is listing for the spare seat in the flight deck on any carrier that has agreements with your carrier(pretty much every airline). You only get to sit up front if there are no seats left over in the main cabin.
In any case, dress code is uniform or business casual.
