Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?

The SSP for the pilots on property at the start of the program was extended to the FO's to try to help stem the exodus of them before the bonus money was offered. (we will save the debate on the shortsightedness of doing that for another thread) For pilots hired after that point, the program is different.

From what I have been told, no. You are not discouraged from going around the DGI. But if you have the requirements and get the interview, and don't get a CJO, there will be no DGI for you after you are a CA for 2 years. All of this is third-hand info, mind you.
And when I applied at Envoy, I was told I not only COULD apply to American before the flow, but that I would most likely get picked up sooner doing it that way (based on my qualifications) vs. waiting on the 5-6 years for the flow.

Nope, that was always an option for FO's before the change to the SSP allowing FO's to participate before upgrade. Some took advantage and have been at Delta for some time. That's how the program should have stayed, but guys got impatient.

Thanks for the info. I've heard with the flow at American, it's next to impossible to be hired off-the-street, and even more so if you work at one of the wholly owneds. Some of it due to the hiring structure, but some because they don't want to hire from their WOs out of seniority

A former United Captain once told me that you are only hurting yourself if you don't put multiple applications out there. Forget the flows, once you have the minimums and a year of 121 experience start firing out applications to every airline you would want to work for. That way your application has started its way to the top.
If it takes a major 2 years to get back to you then so what. At least that's 2 more years of experience that you can put on your application and resume.

I cannot say in regards to ALL situations, but when I was doing my interview I was told that my chances of getting hired at AA prior to the flow were pretty high. Held to the same standard as any street hire, just quicker than the flow allows. YMMV
