Study, pay attention in class, and you'll be fine. No tricks or gimmicks, the instructors are there to teach you how to operate in the 121 environment and how to fly the CRJ, nothing more complicated than that. I was prior 135 as well, so there won't be anything earth shattering as far as new knowledge. Best of luck!

Just relax, The training department is awesome and you shouldn't have any issues. Just don't be one of those guys that tries to memorize **** like what PSI the fuel pumps come on at....

Thats great. I would have no problem with JFK or LGA base. I obviously would just want to be at the place that is the easiest to commute and fastest off reserve ( just like everybody else that is commuting ). Whatever I get would be fine though. Glad to hear that somebody else said its an easy commute.

If they're getting dtw and msp on the 200 in a class that just started then why so many vacancies for LGA and JFK? Wouldn't they have gotten those based instead? I guess thats kind of confusing?!?!?!

Those vacancies in LGA/JFK 200 need to be offered to the current pilot group first in case anyone wants those positions who is already on the line. When the vacancy award process is over, any unfilled positions can be bid on and given to new hires. So I'd expect to see new hires getting LGA and JFK 200 starting next month.

The positions just announced in LGA and JFK are mostly new (CRJ200) they need to be offered to current pilots before being assigned to new hires. If 9E functions the way my previous carrier did (not sure of it does, the past 8 years haven't given me reason to pay attention to that portion of the contract) then any vacancy would be offered to current pilots and the leftovers are given to new hires.

Correct me if im wrong. Vacancy's are awarded in seniority from top to
bottom. So new hires would get last pick of open spots.

If they are backfilling the captain upgrades then most upgraded fo's were based in DTW or MSP so theres the openings for now.
