Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?

There is really no way to say because of the way the quotas for CA seats in the different planes are, so it's different depending on where the person came from. The bear answer for a new hire is the most senior person who is post SLI is around 5yr, and is around 300 from the most junior CA. With the movement lately that puts them 2 years away from upgrade. So 7yr, but that is dropping.

I'm sorry, but from the complete FNG perspective (aka- not knowing a darn thing about what you just said above except for "7yr"), why do they look you square in the eye at Tower/Bldg C (pilots & HR alike) and tell you firmly "36 months"? What's the disparity?! Appreciate your guys' continued input for us newbies.
Those are numbers for the current snapshot. I would expect additional 200 flying or even 700/900 flying to increase if we can continue to hire. Which shouldn't be a problem if they extend the SSP to new hires. Also I know that many FO's that are offered a CJO will bypass upgrade in return for quality of life until they get a class date at DL. This will further speed up the time to upgrade.
Hope that answers your question!

No doubt, the SLI wasn't fair. It should have been DOH, but the reps from the 3 couldn't agree on that and decided to send it off to arbitration. We got what we got and we have to live with it. It's not changing, but at least the quotas drop next year so at least figuring out where you are bidding will be easier with it being straight seniority.

Quotas are actually helping some. Without them, I'd probably be an FO. 11year FO! I'll submit a resignation letter before I swing gear for a guy hired 4 years after me. Nothing personal..just can't do it. UNLESS I'm pay protected and holding 20 days off like so many others are currently enjoying.

Here it is in English. Right now the most junior captain at the company is around 900 on the seniority list out of 1500 pilots. So if the fleet number stays the same let's figure 900 being the magic number for upgrade. In the next 3 years there will be approximately 500 pilots going to DAL. At the current attrition rate to other carriers, I would put the number close to 650-700 pilots total in the next 36 months. So if you are 1500 right now you will probably be close to 800 in three years.
Any thoughts on how the new DAL contract (assuming it passes) would affect things? It seems like they're going to get some E195s to operate, which would seem to mean more mainline hiring, but I also read about increased crew efficiencies canceling that out.
