It very well may drop to less than that with the potential for future growth. More 200s, or... maybe something else.

It is already dropping much faster than expected due to a combination of growth, FOs with CJOs bypassing upgrade, certain Midwesterners terrified of the prospect of being based or flying in NYC, and other factors. They just awarded upgrade for the first 75 of 300-350 planned upgrades this year. Very likely by the end of the year we'll be seeing upgrades for 2014 and maybe even 2015 hires.

Currently filling classes to capacity at 60 per month. Get your number sooner rather than later. Lots of movement.

You're not that far away from holding one though.

Call out for JFK is 2 hours on the nose. Normally you get a bit more time than the min, but if they call right at 2 you are expected to be there.

Oh okay. How long are people normally sitting reserve right now?

Yep! I've enjoyed my quick, relative, seniority on the -200 side though

Months not years is the best that I can probably say. It varies by position. Some incredibly fast (I talked to a guy that came out of new hire training and didnt have to bid for reserve at all other than his build up after OE...I think he was LGA or JFK based) But your results may vary of course.

Ultimately it all depends on the number of people that end up under you, and more importantly under you in your base, that is the factor that gets you off of reserve and there are a lot of different factors that can impact that.

No.

The most junior captain on the last award was a Feb 2008 hire. (XJ guy)

DOH is not a reliable indicator at this company though.

As we hire into the next year they will fall very quickly as we get into years we hired very little.

Speaking of a Feb 2008 hire, does anyone know what happened to N Fillipov? He was like 24 at 9L hire Feb 2008 placed ~1300ish on the list of 3000 back then. That kinda power is too much for one to handle. Is he at Delta through the SSP and sitting reserve NYCM88A?
