No worries. All of us had to figure it out in the beginning, too.
This may help, though it's not all-inclusive: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_airline_codes
And some history: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Endeavor_Air#History

You may know about this site already, but if not, it has helped me. Flight Schedules
Put in the pairing codes and you can get an idea how many flights per day, and select between non-stop and multi-stops. Of course, it won't give you any idea how full the planes wil be, nor how hard it will be for a new hire to actually get from A to B, but it will get you started.
You can always ask back here, and someone may be able to look online and tell you what seat loads look like for a particiular flight.

The question you want to ask if whether you want to burn a night home to commute up or burn a morning going home. You will (usually) not be able to commute home on the last day from MSP as the last flight is at 5:45p. DTW's last flight is around 8 or so and in my 4 months on the line I have made it home on the last night except once. DTW can be tricky to commute up to on the first day but it can be done if you want to wake up at 3 or 4 in the morning.

For all I knew 9E might be the answer to a long calculus problem. Thought I was going to need to break out my scientific calculator, abacus, E6B and slide rule to figure it out.

Well, I doubt you know how to flip the whiz wheel around and use the super secret squirrel back side to arrive at 9E = Endeavor. The aluminum ones won't do it, only the plastic ones issued after 2005.
It's all good. As a suggestion, this is on of the better threads to read up on. Go back to about mid-December and read forward til now. LOTS of good info on Endeavor. Took me a while, but I think I went back to page 145 when I did it.
Good luck!
