Lebanon Hills is nearby, and has great mountain biking as well.

Yes, whine about what should be. That'll get you far. If you are a 15yr guy on reserve, you've chosen to be. That same guy would be holding a commutable line in NY at either base. Choosing not to because you don't want to commute is not anyone's fault but your own. Stop being a victim.

So, can a 15yr CA hold a line in other bases or not? If the answer is yes, then by definition it is a CHOICE to be on reserve.

It's a complaint about how the SLI wasn't DOH, not being on reserve.

You seem to be making assumptions about another persons situation. Glad you're so astute at solving everyone else's problems.

NO! That is a BS cop out. It is not an assumption about any situation. This is a fact. A 15yr XJ pilot can hold lines in either NY base. I have flown with numerous XJ CA junior to that who do, many commute out of MSP. It has nothing to do with your "situation", a 15yr XJ guy can hold a line. We've had multiple vacancy bids where he could go to NY if he desired.

How is it that everything bad in life is out of someone's control? If I were living in MSP, I'd GLADLY take reserve over commuting, and enjoy my time at home over the sure schedule and higher pay. However, I wouldn't be blaming someone else for the choice that I made to do so. Grow up, you're not a victim. Go cry to someone else about making $97,000 a year sitting reserve at home on 75hr guarantee.

No doubt, the SLI wasn't fair. It should have been DOH, but the reps from the 3 couldn't agree on that and decided to send it off to arbitration. We got what we got and we have to live with it. It's not changing, but at least the quotas drop next year so at least figuring out where you are bidding will be easier with it being straight seniority.

You continue to assume that another base is an option. For all you know the choice is reserve or quit. But hey, we should all commute and never complain when our QOL is reduced.
