The leverage we do get comes from when management wants something, and is willing to give concessions to get it. I think our MEC has done a very good job helping the company solve their problems (which keeps endeavor in deltas good graces) while also gaining permanent gains for the pilot group.

Pilots at majors tend to find most of their leverage in the full RLA process, primarily with the threat of a potential strike if an agreement isn’t met. So that’s probably why we don’t see as many LOAs. The threat of a strike at a regional just doesn’t give pilots the same leverage as it does at a mainline.
You don't see LOAs at major or really anywhere else because it's a new way to do things. NJ is the one who basically made it a norm here and as times go on it will be more common.

No it was JA in consult with JS. JA, then JJ then NJ (?). Anyway probably should throw WT or MB in there too before NJ.

You gotta remember, during the bankruptcy we chose to keep those soft pay options and take the hit on wages. Many many inside and outside edv were angered by that move, but JS and TW knew the quickest way back was to sacrifice the pay rates because those could.come back the quickest through LOAs. There was a ton of trust in the MEC, and well earned because JS and TW had been through chpt 11 before. Theres a ton of earned trust that got passed on and a lot of smart people carrying the ball forward.

Big Sky was an alter ego of Mesaba that we had to crush like a beercan at the expense of our contract improvements. Dont think theyll be back.

I’d estimate 75% of EDV was hired after JA left. Kids these days don’t even know the Bloch award

And there are 25,000 qualified resumes with the majors from the regionals (there are only 20,000 total pilots with the regionals).

Pepperidge Farm remembers saying flagship on the radio. I was flying that morning of the switchover. Think I said it 4 times before talking to center on leg 1.

I was flying out of DFW on day 2 of the new call sign. Regional Departure was ****ED. “Who is Endeavor anyways? Are you some new regional?” And then followed about a year of being confused with Envoy.
