I think it's more about tying a bonus package together with the contractual relief they need to increase training capacity, rather than direct large salary increases. It won't stop people from leaving to career destinations, nothing can stop that, other than making mainline so attractive, causing people to want to wait for only Delta.
Y'all. Let's shut up and see what we can get out of this. "I'm not staying for nothing" gets us... nothing.
The least the company should know is the AA package didn't work. The MEC obviously knows that. So the company should know that if they're asking for contractual relief, then they should be offering new-house kind of money. The MEC should also know that anything in the AA ballpark should be a non-starter unless there are no strings attached.

We have a cap on instructors who aren't on the seniority list. There's also a cap on what those instructors can do. The company has been clear that they want those rules changed for awhile.

Money is money and QOL is also important but how will they combat the lost seniority at a career destination such as an LCC. Seniority can be priceless especially in difficult times and that will be a tough sell. Unless they can make a regional good enough to be a career destination then there are few things they can do to make it worth it.

A seniority number or money alone is not going to do. They have to both be there to make a difference. Hypothetically you get a seniority number with Delta and then have to wait three or four years to get there while making regional pay, that’s a ton of lost income. Just not worth it.

Sure seniority is key but you also have to look at longevity too. And yes anyone with a brain. But I wouldn't fault anyone who is due to flow in the next 6-8 months decide to stay

I would agree with your statement in the past, but in today’s environment it’s a totally different ball game. That’s why the regional model as we know it is going away.
