And at just about halfway up the list, I moved up 112 spots in the two months between 21-06 and 22-01. 56 per month, all CA worthy. If this keeps up for a year, EDV will only have the 200 protected captains and FOs without the time to upgrade.

This is something that this company nor any other company has ever seen before. They need to do something and do it quick. The only option that I see would be a complete staple with DAL pay. That would retain the people on property, obviously help with the hiring and also give the company a lot more flexibility.

That may seem logical from a pilot's point of view for the pilot group. Now compare the rest of the staff at our airline. There is still a massive cost savings in management, maintenance, stores, flight attendants, etc. The business case for a staple is strongly weakened when you look at that way

I agree., but they might not have another option.
It all comes down to what is needed. Lose of revenue do to lack of staff or pay more for what you have. I think the latter will win out. Remember they can’t sub the work out because everyone else is in the same boat and that boat is quickly sinking.

I’m new to APC so forgive me if I ask something that is already talked about a lot. Is there a section on this forum dedicated to new class drops for Endeavor metal/base?

No but you’re about 80% likely to get the 900, with NYC CVG and DTW awarded to new hires (mostly NYC) and 20% to get the 200 with MSP ATL and DTW to new hires.

That’s good to know, thank you! If assigned the 900, about how long until you would be able to bid Atl? That would be the closest base for me.

Another fix would be for Delta to hire all of Endeavor's Captains immediately, then place them on "temporary assignment" at Endeavor. The pilot's would get the seniority number along with Delta pay and benefits, Endeavor would get to keep its CA's on property for some period of time.

Why do you think DALPA would agree to that? What's in it for them? And why do you think they would agree to any kind of side letter before they have ironed out their own contract?

Yeah, the mainline union response would be to buy more A220's. All regionals are in this position, not just us.
