[QUOTE=gojo;3001667]Can’t speak for YX but regarding OO it’s probably due to them 1) owning most of their aircraft and 2) them operating the most 200s in the industry. Those things are profitable with even just a few passengers onboard. But nobody on this forum has a crystal ball... so we will find out.

Well D.G. said in recurrent ground just 2 weeks ago that Endeavor was the cheapest out of the three. We don’t operate for profit. Delta gets the profits. Additionally, Endeavor and Delta use many of the same cost efficiencies. Made sense to me. Skywest does own most aircraft that they operate for Delta. Delta signs rather lengthy CPA’s with Skywest to operate them for Delta. That’s attractive to Delta as it keeps those aircraft off their books. There are other things as well that I’m not going to get into now. But I’m pretty sure that Skywest is not the cheapest operator for DC

If you cost what DL does for us, we are most likely more expensive than OO. Years ago ALPA National had an opportunity to look at OO's books, in order to help an ALPA regional negotiate a contract. It was all nondisclosure blah blah blah, but ALPA National made the numbers very clear to the ALPA regional. The spread in cost was extreme and this was coming from ALPA National. The only area 9E has different than that ALPA regional is globalized PBS. Big savings there, but no where near enough to cover that spread.

Okay, who does Delta pay for this flying, and where do the profits go?

So these numbers we were talking about was Delta's last announcement about parking 300 planes. Now they're saying 600... If it's a similar fraction, we're looking at 120 RJ's parked out of the 300~ish DC. Tell me there's not going to be a hit to the regionals now.
I don't think anyone's gonna tell you that.
