They never claimed that. They claimed to be the largest operator of the CRJ 900 in the world. Which is correct

No, at one point they were saying Endeavor would be the largest DC carrier. 42%-46% with Slowwest and Republic splitting the remaining 50 whatever %. Now with this announcement they are changing the verbiage. I don’t remember them ever using the word “volume.” For comparison.

All correct. The Skywest buildup surprises me. Although, I guess it shouldn’t. But I believe Delta owns a percentage in Republic and all of Endeavor. So I would expect that they’d invest there. In regards to the at risk flying, it looks like a lot of that is going back to Delta. At least that’s what I see in MSP

There seems to be a small percentage of EDV guys who still believe the sky is falling and the foundation is crumbling. My goodness, just embrace the good news and be thankful for the growth. Life is WAY too short to micro analyze the minutia of a message from the CEO, while trying to speculate on what our percentage of flying will be in 36 months. Let the network folks handle that, we need to just focus on getting up and down and out and back home to our families.

I believe the biggest thing people are missing is Skywest has way more to lose at this point than EDV. When the 200s start retiring Skywest operates a total of 83 200s of which 28 are pro rate flying and can be cancelled by Delta with very little notice. EDV only has 42 and is the largest dual class operator for Delta now and with all 200s retired Skywest would be put at 117 aircraft and EDV at 134 aircraft.
No one ever mentioned that the 2 other remaining carriers would be split 50% each, the only percentage figure I can recall is that EDV would be doing 40% of the DC flying which after getting the GoJet birds we will easily be at 40%, keep in mind I also count the % as amount of flights not amount of aircraft.
As for the GoJet 900 replacement, who knows what is actually happening. It could easily get replaced with Skywest/Republic getting more 175s but Delta could also purchase those aircraft and place them at EDV as those 900s are not very old and would likely get a very good deal on the purchase. Again though no one knows and we will just have to wait and see what happens.

Now let's just hope we are still not around when this happens.
