True on the pick up side if it's picked up by someone who has previously dropped.

If the open time is picked up by someone who hasn't dropped (or who has already made up for their drops) then it's 150%.

I think that means you're both semi-correct.

The company can't assume drops will be picked up by others who have dropped. Therefore it's a 50% premium to let anyone drop.

I'm not mad at the company for it, it's math and economics.

Yes they could let us drop at 100% but if they did, we'd just be pre-using their reserves down to some actual red level and then something happens and now they actually don't have any reserves.

The pilot to pilot trade board exists. That will solve line holder to line holder and reserve to reserve swaps if we'd all use it. Line holder to reserve swap is prohibited to honor seniority so can't solve a reserve wanting to trade for a trip but the first part is already solved if we'd use it.

I'm within 3 months of reaching 1,500h, was wondering when's the best time to apply? Right now? How long would a CJO be valid for?

I’d apply now. But you probably won’t receive a call for a while. I.e at least a few months We are on a hiring slow down. I’ve heard back and forth that we aren’t hiring at the moment or are hiring very few. Our last few classes have been about 1/4-1/2 their normal size. We are very over staffed at the moment and are waiting for a announcement of growth, which the rumor or what it will be keeps changing.

But 3 Monthes is a long time from now and all this could change.

I can assure you that applying now would be in your best interest. I'm told we are still reviewing apps, scheduling interviews, and extending CJOs - which are good for up to a year. Beat the summer rush as we open the gates on hiring again soon.

Good luck, this is a great place to fly!

I applied and was told they will keep my application to give me a call in the near future as all of their classes are full until late 2019.

I don't know why anyone would come here now. Zero growth, eternal reserve, quick upgrade long gone, and a failing DGI program. But those recruiters sure do know how to fool em.
