In MSP I'd expect a reversal of the norm, (pilots dropping to drop and stay off), but MSP is still our smallest base and least able to throw the curve off.
Personally. 90% of the time I just want to swap reserve days to pick up trips. No point in dropping reserve days I’m not going to be used anyway, that’s just throwing away money to sit at home.

From my time in DTW, thats most of the sentiment.

In NY everyone is trying to drop reserve to get a trip. Ive yet to meet that reserve fo commuting to ny that just wants an extra day at home.

Checking in..
I've tried to drop as many as I can to spend time at home with my one year old. No go for March, though. :/

So there is TOWOP if you can afford it. I really wanted those half time lines to come back. No luck though.

I wrote Detroit, not Ann Arbor, Franklin, Birmingham, and Gross Point.

Affording it isn't the issue. Consolidation is. Not sure how well it would go over if I haven't consolidated yet.

Sitting short call in NYC isn't really doing it for me. I'm starting to think I should have gone to sky West since I live 30 minutes from DTW

I was actually referring to NY, sorry for the confusion.

If you're worried about the Company coming after you, i would speak to the MEC leadership which would include lawyers that will give you factual answers. If you're new to this airline gig, we don't read tea leaves. When youre unsure you ask the union, even when you talk to a rep you make sure that rep is asking the lawyers and NOT shooting from the hip. My guess would be TOWOP is available to all and the company can't come after you contractually or federally through workplace laws.

Lastly skywest is hiring, if you're waffling on being here no one is going to beg you to stay. If you like it, stay. If you're ready to move on, move on.

Semi-correct. Additional info...Each RSV day drop deducts 4 hours from your guarantee. In order to get P15 on an OT PUP, you have to first get back to whatever your original guarantee was. Drop 5 reserve days, you have to find a trip that credits more than 20 hours to get 150% for the difference in hours from 20 to whatever it’s crediting.
