Oh yeah? Have you seen these atc strips under low light conditions or do you always just want to sound like you know what you're talking about on the internet.

Centers and TRACONs haven't used strips in years, so I'm not sure what you mean by "low light ATC strips?" I understand your point about them looking vaguely similar, though; maybe they need to make their data blocks larger... or turn the lights in the area up... or just get my callsign right.

Toured NY on islip a decade plus 3 yrs ago and they used strips. Maybe 9 yrs ago in philly tower/tracon they used strips. Dispatch will still give your the CID number if you have two or three flight plans in there that tell clearance which strip to look at. I havent toured a facility in a while.

Sure. And don't you miss your callsign being read ever again.

They still use strips at both - don’t take my word though go visit one.

Someone drop a deuce into the water well? Why’s ATL on a boil advisory?

I always hide from the FOs to see how long it takes the truly dedicated ones to find them.

How about this instead: Let’s change our 3-letter to HAT with the callsign being, for example, “Hat Town 3357.” All in favor?
