You'd probably see more NYC guys just aiming for 900 only classes.

What's the chance of 200 only classes? Last year it was a 200/900 split and then a 900 only each month.

Not saying this will happen, but I could see 200/900 split classes followed by 200 only classes each month. Maybe I am playing devils advocate, but I'd hate to see a NYer get locked into a 200 position with no hope of NY for the first year. A reopened 200 base in NYC would fix that potential problem if the union buys off on aircraft locks for new hires.

Talking to a union guy such a rumor coming true would alleviate another possible problem the MEC is addressing and that is the fact the company wants aircraft locks for new hires of one year. So theoretically, a new hire living in NYC comes to 9E for the NYC base, then gets forced and locked into the 200 for a year with no hope of getting their NYC home as a base. The question then would be would 9E try to staff any increased NYC flying with trips starting in MSP and DTW to cover for 145s being parked or would it make sense to reopen a NY 200 base? This is ALL rumor and speculation as a disclaimer! I have also heard CVG an RDU through the grape vine as potential new bases.
spoke with a scheduling Rep year and a half ago and he said they were running numbers for virtual base in Cvg. So far that has not happened obviously

Yeah there has been CVG chatter for awhile. I think that flying can all be staffed using DTW and MSP trips that go through CVG. Not sure the same could be done if we start covering S5 50 seat flying in NYC...guess we will see. I personally wouldn't mind a NYC 200 base again, but there are many I am sure that'd oppose it.

Default Any "Latest & Greatest" about Endeavor?

Is the retention bonus only given to pilots who are on property for a full year? What if you take mil leave for a few months?

New hire bonus is based on completion of training. Mil leave falls under Erisa for time of service. You can get retention but not during training, and a certain period of time is in place to be active vs inactive. The idea of training and bug out doesn't work for the bonus payment in the first year+ last I heard, and it's inline with all applicable laws.

For Specifics, you likely won't find that on any message board.

It's divided into 3 segments and prorated based on how much of each segment you were active.

I was thinking that would be too good to be true! Thanks for the info.
