Well, technically you're correct if the programs goes as we read it will. But what it doesn't express is what of current employees. I wouldn't automatically deduce that we are all technically stuck here. It would cost more to keep the elders here and let the newbs move on. So, I draw no conclusion from this Delta Propel Pilot Career Path Program. Gosh what a monumentally stoooopid name by the way.
I don’t think our union can do anything either unfortunately.
And as much as this ****es me off that Delta does sh!t like this I’m happy to stay right here for the rest of my career.
It’s the young guys that should be ****ed that they’ve announced a career progression outside of Endeavor that’s better than what they have, even though we’ve been told that wouldn’t happen.

Not sure our union has any say in the matter, honestly. Maybe there are some backdoor conversations happening. Or, better yet, let's just see how this pans out. BL has talked about DC consolidation and 9E growing to 40+% of total flying...I'm willing to wait this out to see what happens. In the meantime, be a professional. Let things outside of your control go. It's not worth it.

I doubt anyone 30 or younger will be too terribly disappointed with their career progression opportunities. Pending another lost decade like many of us experienced, they won't have to bare the same cross guys like you had to carry. I see this as a modest win for the industry, as well as a positive for the guys coming up and on property. It's not better, it's just a more defined millennial-approach - mentorship, handholding, helicopter parenting. Instant gratification. A different cloth by which pilots are cut. Everything I'm trying NOT to do for my kids, but at the same time, reluctantly, glad to have available.

Well, according to the latest MEC email from today, your MEC has now openly stated that they are in talks about career progression with delta and Endeavor. See, I told us it wasn't all doom for current seniority peeps.
