We had that system at Envoy. Unfortunately it only works if the crew member is honest and doesn’t log in to a different phone tree to get help sooner. When ORD used to prolapse every other day. The DFW desk was swamped.

There has to be a way to be able to get additional schedulers to work from home for 200% on days like these.

Junior man or BYD them.

“Hello mr/mrs scheduler, this is a pilot with endeavor and it looks like we added some scheduling to your schedule. Please self notify or give us a call back, thanks.”

delta plans to hire pilots in the future? whats your point?
If you're referring to the 'Placement at a DCI" thats somewhat old news.
Although qualified applicants will likely have little trouble finding a FO position at a DCI carrier on their own; Propel describes an 'anointed' job at a DCI. Our union has taken a very strong stance; to the point of not endorsing the DGI. The fact we as a group (hint... heard the rumors??) have not heard anything about this suggests there has been some work in the background....

Do you get paid per diem during training? Wondering what the take home pay is during this time.

No per diem. 75 hours guarantee x $50.15 minus taxes is typical. Only you know your tax rate. Possible to credit closer to 80-85 during training if there are no delays depending on timing since you get the higher of 4 hours a day or 75 hours guarantee. So if you start ground school on the first day of the payroll month (not necessarily the 1st) and there are no delays you are likely going to get 20 hours per week. I believe travel days and jumpseat observation rides also count for work days during training so more pay for that.

You actually do get paid per diem for training that occurs outside of MSP. For example, if you do your sims in PHX, you get per diem for the time you do training activities in PHX.

Interesting cause the pilot contract says a pilot will not receive per diem prior to the commencement of IOE.
