Haha, clearly you have not been watching the US government in action!

First the lobbies will have the FAA raise the age to 70 (we've seen the can kicked down the road before)!

Then, we will go to single pilot aircraft...

Just stirring the pot, relax, I'm sure you are right...

Unfortunately the age thing will probably be true. The old bastards can’t retire and enjoy life. Maybe it’s the 3 failed marriages? I will retire before the FAA tells me to.

Curious. Was this negotiated by the Union or did Delta just decide to do this on their own after EDV management asking/pushing for it?

That's easy to say, but seeing 2 economic collapses in span of less than a decade was pretty tough for a lot of people in the industry.

All company. We didn't even know it was on the table until it was announced. No negotiation on our part.

This is so far from the truth. While not specifically negotiated for (as it’s non monetary), it has been something the Union has been pushing for, for a long time, and was well aware it was on the table

62 and one day. Will quit and enjoy my flight benefits and my paltry 75% SS benefits. I’m with ya!

Very true! That’s why it’s important to diversify your portfolio.

I stand corrected then. But I'm correct that this was not something we negotiated for. Heard that reps in recurrent a while back. This was between mgmt groups.

That's correct. Travel benefits aren't really ever a negotiated thing. It was a nice addition and greatly appreciated.
