I don't know about you but I don't spend anywhere near $1100/month on commuting expenses. Sure commuting is not ideal but I've got plenty left over.

That being said, I don't know how anybody pulled it off before the increase in pay.

I guess I don't get why the #1 advice given here is to live in base and QoL and now all of a sudden a couple of dollars is going to make all that better ? if you spend all your bonus money on crashpads what good is it to have bonus money ?

I do speak from experience, I have traveled all over chasing that all mighty dollar. If you are single and don't mind the ****ty ROI then have it I reckon.
Hell of a crashpad for 23k

Yes, the entire Delta infrastructure. They already handle payroll and numerous other items.

NO doubt the pay makes it better but still eventually... I think morale will dwindle, the grind wears anyone down eventually.

Do you include crashpads in your commuting expense ? more curious than anything, not trying to take what you say and turn around and argue about it, just saying.

i mean would it really be worth it to someone 2nd year somewhere else, a lot closer to upgrade to go back to bottom of the seniority list just for some measly bucks ? we all want money for working but money isn't everything.

thanks, i was looking to come on to Endeavor - mostly because of all the positive talk, the money was just bonus. I would hate to get on board just to work with a bunch of disgruntled employees mad because this or that.

Yeah crash pad is included. Between home parking, the pad, and transportation to/from the pad sets me back around $350/month.

For some folks money is everything. I just talked to a friend at another regional who is considering lateral move due to reduction in overtime pay and a dwindling IAH base.

Commuting to reserve sucks. I won't argue with that. Especially with ready reserve thrown into the mix. What makes it bearable is the money and the people I work with. It's good to see regional pilots earning a liveble wage for once.

Minus crew scheduling, dispatch, maintenance, HR, management, and pilots of course. Payroll and IT I believe are fully Delta.

The main attribute which perpetuates low morale here at Endeavor is the arbitrary nature in which Delta hires or rejects many of its SSP candidates. I personally know of a CA who vehemently detests the idea of providing customer service podium announcements in furtherance of Delta's agenda, for example.

I'll second this. I recently left 9E after 10.5 years. I was rejected by DL despite an unblemished hr and training record. The thing that got me was the insistence afterwards to project myself as Delta. Beforehand I would go above and beyond, afterwards I worked just hard enough not to get fired.

That sucks but glad you are moving onto greener pastures.
