This is a bad example but I didn't realize the envoy/eagle 700s and 900s only had 50 seats pre airways merger until an envoy guy corrected me at bar.

Want something to really blow your mind? Mesa used to stuff 88 in the 900. Because it didn't take long enough to deplane already.

Envoy never had any 900s. The 700s from Envoy all had 63/65 seats.
Airways had 67 seats in the 700s we have at PSA. Once upon a time they didn't have first class and I think they had 70 seats at that time and a forward lav, that liked to leak under the floor of the cabin and slosh around. All of the 900s at PSA have 76 seats. All of the 700s here now are configured to 65 seats at this time.

Mesa was grandfathered into the airways system with some of their 900s with 88 seats from America West. Eventually that was fixed.

With Envoy, this would have been years ago when they were Eagle. I might be remembering wrong but I remember him saying 50 seats, and that was the American scope clause. Is it possible he was talking about a time before you are?

I seriously doubt they were running 700s with 50 seats, what would be the point? The CASM woulnd't work on paper. AAs scope was always pretty soft.

The 700s from Envoy are goofy, they only have a third O2 mask on on side of the A/C so laps have to be on a specific side. Maybe someone from Envoy can weigh in on the seats deal. They would likely know more than us.

Aren’t many of our planes, both 200 & 900, this way? 3 masks on the #2 side, I mean.

Yes, the XJ tails have 3 masks on both sides, the rest do not.

That's not what I asked. I think most CRJs have 2 masks on the left, and 3 masks on the right.

He's answered your question in a roundabout way.

Most of our 900's now AREN'T XJ tails, the majority are PQ's. Therefore, most of our 900's don't have 6 masks per row, they have 5.

I believe all the 200's have 5, but I could be wrong, too lazy to look it up now.
