Things are looking better for 9e and this new contract will help get more pilots through the doors. I'm not sure we'll get 60 a month though...

I made that exact same jump earlier this year and got a pay raise. Hell, I'd still be looking at a pay raise if I was 2nd/3rd year FO elsewhere. And now with the new incentives in place, you're well over 50k as a new-hire. I didn't get the sign on bonus and I still made the jump.

I would expect the bonus kicking up to 10k sometime in the middle of next year. More than likely even sooner if the first quarter of 2016 doesn't indicate 60/month hiring like projected.
This place is great as far as regional life is concerned. I've done corporate/charter for the last six years and this is night and down over those days of being 24/7 on call. Now with this new pay package, I'm at my pay scale I was making just before I jumped from corporate to 121. Yay to no more food stamps for this family!!!

I'm an FO in DTW, and I'm looking to get in touch with a union rep about something that happened with scheduling last week. I didn't really find anything in the contract pertaining to what happened, but I was assigned a trip for Wednesday of last week on Tuesday. I got to the airport 45 min prior and I'm steeping out the shuttle when I get a call from scheduling saying that the trip has been pulled from my schedule (I'm guessing it was given to someone else, hnestly don't know) I ask the guy was there at least a possibility of getting released early since I've left my hotel early and I'm already at the airport. He said no and I was back on home reserve for the rest of the P1 reserve period. It was the last day so of course with that I couldn't catch an earlier flight home and being that I left my hotel already the only thing I could do was sit in the crew room at that point. I'm just wondering is there a minimum time where they can't pull a trip from your schedule? Seems like I got screwed on the deal but maybe it's me.
