Is this STILL a thing?? It definitely USED to be that way but I thought there was literally a policy back then that said on the 5th one you'd get a reliability letter and I can't find such a policy now... thought maybe that policy had gone the way of the dinosaur.

Not sure if it’s been written here yet on my thread but I’ve been hearing loads of SLC scuttlebutt lately. Something about an announcement set for July? Any other corroborators on this?

Not sure how. We don't have a single flight there right now. Would have to be some huge shift in flying from one carrier to another for us to get a new base west of the Mississippi. Just my two cents in it.

That’s what I thought but I keep hearing it and hearing it...even a flight attendant mentioned that’s it’s circulating there too. The real news will come if FA hiring occurs out west.

Yeah a friend of mine here heard something about it and was telling me. Not sure of base or just flying but it’s being talked about seriously in the C tower. Something like dispatch is doing more training about dispatching into the mountain areas. And recruiters are being scheduled to California and west coast flight schools. Among a few things. Delta likes to shift around flying; maybe the morman Air Force will have some company out West now. When i was at recurrent in November TW hinted at a announcement of some sort in June.

Rumors, rumors, rumors, this is a juicy one. On the Skywest side, one of their rumors is that at some point they’re supposed to transition to an all ERJ fleet. So there’s that.
