While I agree with your medical expertise, I don’t understand what you mean by punitive? I have never been punished for calling out sick.

On your 5th one you will. Letter in your file that gets shipped off to Delta in case you ever want a job there.

Just show up to the base office and puke in their trash can. I don't think they'll question you after that.

I think they just do it like trained monkeys. On the 4th I called in honest as none of the flights made it to New York from msp that day. And today I come in to receive a nice letter in my v-file saying if I have one more in a year I’ll have to talk to a review board. 13 years here and this is the only time I’ve had this happen. It seems they don’t look too hard at past performances or the weather conditions that caused all the cancellations. The just automatically submit a form

Pretty sure this is only for habitual abusers. Since I only call out sick when I am sick, should never be an issue.
