You aren't anyone's doctor. Everyone has the damn sniffles this time of year get over yourself. *end rant*

Also I haven't had the flu in a long time..but I don't think I could walk out of my house let alone operate an aircraft.

I wouldn’t get too excited just yet. 86 lines for 9E out of 617 BOS lines overall is hardly a monopoly. YX alone has 179 lines, and DL has 378 lines. Though we do have more than OO, EV, and G7.

Wow, surprised you don't work for the FBI with those investigative skills. How'd you know Im not a doctor? Well, you're right. Im not a doctor. Im also not a selfish ******* who shows up to work and germs up the flight deck for the rest of the crew and crews who use the plane after them. Im sure you probably leave it in green needles with an MDA and your empty diet coke can in the cup holder too, though.

only for you....and I make sure that your side is especially contaminated. also no one at this company can afford to call in sick. So you calling out people who if they call in sick can't provide for their families is a major richard move. Maybe with accruing more sick time now people can afford to call in sick.

I hear what you are saying, and do not disagree with the possibility that a sick member in the cockpit can get you sick.

But have you ever considered that the 50-100 people in the back can get you JUST as sick? They come from multiple cities, states, and even countries, where the flu strains are different than the ones you may have been inoculated against.

Face it, in this industry, you WILL get sick more often than in just about any other, minus the health care profession.

I side with this. Don’t get me sick.

I'll take my chances with someone behind the cockpit door for a leg over bozo coughing all over himself and then twisting knobs and tuning frequencies right next to me for 4 days.

And you do. Every time you fly. I have gotten sick, and the guy next to me wasn’t. It happens. Those packs are real good at bringing germs from the back to the front.

Yes, and our low humidity environment allows viruses to transfer more easily from person to person.

Not to be a buzzkill, but it's a minimum of 2 days after exposure to a common cold virus before you get symptoms yourself. The flu can sometimes show up within 24 hours.

Blame belongs with the company for having punitive policies about sick calls.
