I don't think there are really any junior bases, just depends on what airplane you get. A lot of guys in my class went to DTW on the 200 but mostly everybody who went to the 900 got what they wanted, and the guys that didn't get what they wanted initially got it on the last vacancy. I think the only thing that wasn't on the vacancy was 200 spots in MSP from what my sim partner told me. The class after us was an all 900 class and they seemed to all get what they wanted including a lot of MSP guys.

LGA and JFK just have the -900. As was said before, it's luck of the draw with your class (seniority based on age). If you don't get it out of class, then you'll probably get it in the next vacancy notice - which runs every 2-4 months based on need.

If you want one of those two I would also ask them when are they running the next all 900 class for that month. That may make your chances better of getting one of the two since they're both 900 bases like the other guys said.

Why would it? Good for the SSPs for passing the interview and moving onto Delta.
Had I stayed I'd be a FO even today. I'm not sure what you mean about something stinging? Buddy of mine from Aug '07 just got the upgrade in DTW for the -200. He unfortunately did not pass the SSP interview with Delta. So had I stayed it's one interview shot for something not guaranteed. I may have passed the interview or not. Who cares about an interview only? A guaranteed flow (that's what TeddyKGB or Delta1067 or whatever he calls himself had) is the real deal. An interview with some ratio of pilots/year sounds good on paper but not so much when you consider that everyone pretty much everywhere will have at least one legacy interview in the next 5 years. Everything I said in '12 was true. Colgan disappearing, BK coming, and legacy 9E being hosed because the SLI committee screwed the pooch badly. That's not really a crystal ball, that's just what the airline was set up for. Lastly I'm not sure what you mean by "ahead" of me. Every airline has its own seniority list and people join at the bottom. I give a thumbs up to anyone who leaves 9E onto greener pastures and wish them good luck.
I'm pretty content. The money isn't 3-legacy but it's okay for what we are and where we are. ALPA was voted in and we hope to secure a good CBA at some point. I'm not actively looking to get out, and if there is a reason for me to go is strictly based on age alone. A few guys I fly with are suggesting I'd be silly not to have an app out at 31. IMO the industry is finally in an upswing, oil came crashing down, and every airline is doing well. Making 6 figures, good schedules to boot, fun crews, easy flying, it's a decent gig. Keeping in the premium transcon market flying is done with the 757/767s at Delta/United and A321s (used to be 767) at AA. It's relatively senior on the domestic side because it is easy as cake.
Once the guys around ShyGuys seniority(had he stayed at Pinnacle) start moving to Delta then it will truly sting. He bragged so loudly about making his move to Virgin as if he had a crystal ball and has spent a considerable amount of time trying to criticize and malign Pinnacle and now Endeavor. Although not all of what he is said is untrue, he has an agenda. I think he would feel good if Endeavor failed. Now that the opposite appears to be true and some of his colleagues are winding up ahead of him things have gotten complicated. Maybe, just maybe he will retreat back into the shadows and stay quiet.
