Well, Delta was a no, United isn't hiring, and only path to American is waiting years to flow through their regionals. Also the Spirit pay rates are looking at a 44% increase when their negotiations are done, and it'd probably be easier to get to United or Southwest from Spirit than here and I prefer Spirit bases over other options like JetBlue or Virgin America.

Is anyone else noticing that all of the sudden we have to take all electronics including our iPads out during security screening at certain airports?

Default Scheduling

Ok new to the forum and read about a thousand posts, but didnt see this. Are you able to give away your schedule? I mean that if there are months where you dont want to fly more than 2 or 3 days for whatever reason, can you give away your schedule so you can have some unpaid time off? Do people do this? Just curious. I'm looking at options but I know with some family commitments there will be occasional months where I would want a very minimal schedule.

Sure.

PBS has a trade board and you can post it and hope someone picks it up.

You also drop a trip, if the reserve levels are green for every day you want to drop.

Not that I’ve ever seen it green, but I heard someone say they saw it once.

So it is possible, but is it likely? Not getting all theoretical on you just curious how it plays out, if a guy could realistically end up with a month off unpaid or would it be really difficult to ditch all your trips?

I’d say unlikely.

Most people pick up trips in open time at 150%, yours would be straight time unless you paid something for them.

I can never drop anything straight up with the way they play reserve levels here.

Yes, that is what my post was referring to. When I click on the hyperlinked code explanation, I go to the link I showed (for S3B1 in my example) but it always returns a page not found error. This has been happening for months now on my ipad.

It should direct you to another page with the header "Standby Priority Codes" with the list of codes and eligibility in gray.

You may already be doing this..But it works for me.

Oh cool. Can you tell me where in PBS this is possible?
