You do realize the only reason we are parking the 200's is because of staffing here. Delta told us they would bring back as many 200's as we could staff. They decided that XJT 900's were important to the program and 31 900's needed to be added, with planned hiring and attrition we could only staff 31 900's if we parked soon 200's. Go recruit some of your friends. Stop whining about your good, high paying job on forums, start portraying this company the way it is and we might be able to staff the 200's schedule for removal in which case we'd probably keep them.
Blame the recruiting department for not trying hard enough. Not wearing their hats enough. For not cheerleading enough. Delta has to pay us more now to fill in for their stupidity and inadequacy. I challenge every pilot on the recruiting team to quit now in shame and burn your hat in recompense. Maybe then, the god Delta will forgive you for your failures.
No I'm just kidding, keep whiffing and getting us mo' money. I'd join the recruiting team but i don't have the hat. Thank God our team sucks enough on it's own, keep it up!
Any time you see a Recuiting lanyard on a pilot buy them a beer. Thanks to those real men of genius, life is about to get better for the majority of us.

I would think at some point the non wholly owned won't be able to offer more. Look at Skywest and their last pay package that I believe has a 5 year duration. The flavor of that koolaid was called, we need to stay competitive in order to grow. Shortly after that was approved a bunch of new planes were announced. Who knows if that really played a part in them getting those planes or not? You're right, the market is getting more competitive for pilots. And I believe that's why we're negotiating before the amendable date. Which is exactly what can happen again if they get behind the curve on hiring again. In the meantime I think it's smart to see how the market responds to this TA

New 55 seat jet set to be released in 2023.
76 confirmed orders so far by "unnamed airlines."
A shiny nickel says Delta is getting them for us.

If 130ish is the cap...well that's pretty damn good. The only thing I don't like is the 7 year commitment during a high demand pilot era. I've said this all along...a pay raise might be a great short term gain...but eventually this won't be enough to keep up with AA regionals. For us older guys/gals...this is a yes vote. Younger ladies and gents might have a different opinion.

You are mistaken to the muchly degree. I saw the pic of one’s pay stub sitting in NY earlier this year. His gross for the month was $41K and some change. Said it was his highest month at that time, but many months were pretty close. YMMV

Well, imagine how much a bonus would have cost you if you were at an AA WO... it’s only good for a year, then your pay drops substantially. At least our bonus is paid to everyone on property, and is every year. Best deal I know of thus far, and hopefully the pay integration will keep us in that arena for a while.
And no, I don’t think DL owes me a job. I have to work for and earn it, just like everyone else. Even if there was a flow, I wouldn’t take it, so to me, it’s just words on a forum.
All I was trying to say is that there will always be inequities in pay; that isn’t really unfair, that’s just life. Personally, I hope we get a pay rate that puts your pay in a good place for you, as well as for me. At 83 hours, that rate (somewhere around $56 an hour I am guessing for an FO?) isn’t really what any of us are worth, is it? This industry that doesn’t reward experience, but makes one start over at the bottom time after time... crazy that it has been that way for so long.
I’m sure you’re not a snowflake, and I am equally sure you want better income and a better life for your family. Same here, and the same with 90% of the people here. You will focus on the things that bug you the most, as we will all do. And what bugs me won’t necessarily have an effect on you. But I will still gripe about it!
Greasy side down...

All I did was argue that we should be working to restore our pay structure to something that more accurately reflects the historical norm. In a thread full of people that feel they are owed a job at Delta, and crying bloody murder over a very minor cut in hard pay that will likely be made up by improvements in soft pay, somehow I became the entitled snowflake. The bonus structure cost our average line pilot nearly 5 thousand dollars last year. It cost me over 10. If either of you would like to have an actual discussion over the substance of my post, I'd be happy to oblige.

"...if the TA ratifies, Endeavor will significantly lead the industry in terms of pay and benefits."
I would hope since they used the word "significantly," the pay isn't just based off the meager 83-hour mark. If anyone on property takes a pay-cut, then how can it be significant? And I don't care about soft money. Sick time, vacay, per diem, and 401k have all been a complete joke for too long. Be nice if they could send the dang thing out already for us to look at. Wait and see I guess.

Lots of money in your pocket via that damn "soft" money.
