We should ask for every improvement we think of....
This is where I believe you're wrong, no we shouldn't just ask for everything we think of. Yes it would be nice, but take that up with them after the pay rates are figured out. Every minute spent negotiating on something costs something and every gain we get on one thing, means we have less to gain elsewhere.

I'd love to take my brother to Oktoberfest, but I'd rather take a pay raise instead.

I think having more travel benefits for family members or significant others is something of importance to me. It would be nice if my brother, who is in college and broke, could at least travel at some s3b46 priority when trying to get home for Thanksgiving and Christmas.

And who are you to say what I deem important or not. You don't want to take a paycut for crediting less than 83 hours? Tough for you. I credit more than that, so I don't care about your needs, just as you don't care about mine. Stop trying to white knight yourself into thinking you aren't looking out for only your own needs just like everyone else. Thanks for trying to tell me what I should prioritize, but I'll be okay without your assistance.
You are an amazing piece of work....I've said this before and I'll say it again...go to skywest you will fit in much better there and they will let your brother on your pass benefits...I promise they will.

Default Bonus

Would someone briefly explain the bonus payouts for new hires?

As a new hire I can def speak with some authority...probably the only thing about this company I can speak about.

Your training bonus of $10K (before taxes, take home will vary depending on your state) is paid out once you complete OE. It is paid out separately than your check but it is pretty much immediate. Within a week or so.

The $20K retention bonus is paid three times a year in equal installments in JAN, MAY, SEP. It is paid around the 20th or those months and like above the take home varies.

Hopefully they roll those bonuses in to pay rates soon.

+1 for making me laugh. Not gonna lie though guys my bro is really going to be upset when I tell him about how the internet gang has demolished him. The point im trying to make is that one persons interests/wants may differ from someone else's. Obviously pay rates and the major talking points take precedent. If you seriously think I'm comparing travel companions to pay rates then you're #1 missing the point and #2 extremely dense. That being said, our travel benny's are with no question dead last when compared to the other WO's. That's not debatable.

Sure and before my time here benefits were even worse. Talking to the old timers, the best they had were the Mesaba benefits. The worst was the years just after bankruptcy until late 2014 when parents had to pay the zed fair rates to non rev on anything saying delta on the side and travel was 3CFU. Now a lot of guys here don't like bringing up how bad it was because it begs all kinds of uncomfortable questions. From a different prism angle you might have your answer, the majority of pilots here just got back some basic pass benefits and they cant even remember having better. The most senior still have a 20k pay gap they'll never see from the JCBA rates.

How does using our uniform balance work at the stopover store? Can we only use it for uniform pieces and luggage? What about headsets?

Can we only use our balance at the physical store or can we use it on their website. I have already purchased uniform items through their special "endeavor" uniform site.

Generally speaking it's November for pretty much anywhere that provides health insurance nationwide
