I wasn't sure if having one of the required times carried more weight or not

Since neither person has the require company minimums, the award is not based off seniority. The 1000 company and 2500 total get reduced uniformly by percentage, and whoever has the lowest number at the highest percentage of the company minimums gets the upgrade.

In this case the person with 800 company needs the minimums reduced to 80% vs the person with 2300 total who only needs the minimums reduced by 92%. So the pilot with 2300TT and 1000 company would be awarded upgrade prior to the other person.

of course to even be considered, the person must meet the FAR minimums to be captain, I.E the 1000 hours part 121 sic or equivalent.

Yep, it's true, for every 2 planes we park, they will be getting 1 Cseries.

Of course they would.

An 2300 TT hour award is 92% of required hours.

An 800 CT hour award is 80% of required hours, a 12% lower hour requirement.

IFF... there were any reduction at all. I don't think the company reduces TT unless there is a requirement to reduce CT. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong, those who know better.

I don't think they can reduce TT requirement. Only company time requirement

The only time they can't reduce is 1000 121. We have guys with 2000TT, 1000 company/121 SIC/applicable time upgrading.

Anytime the CT is reduced, the TT is reduced by the same percentage from what I have seen. Only 121 is un-waivable.

Any guess as to how junior Captain goes by lowest company time?
My prediction is we won't see the initial until Saturday evening. Way too many secondary movements are going to be created to all be sorted out by Friday.
