I did a whole month with that horrible person on the Saab back in Memphis. On the last inbound flight for that month I was so happy to be done with that guy I couldn't wait to land. For the next month I get assigned a trip over my two ID days at the beginning of the month. There he was again. F me.

With Compass scheduled to close their MSP base this fall or winter, is there any knowledge/rumors/educated-guesses if Endeavor will pick up some of the flying that Compass had? If not EDV, will anybody else pick up that flying, or any rumors if Delta will simply decrease flying out if MSP?

A certain amount of bitterness can be expected from being told NO by Delta. Actually, I think dejection is more the norm. Again, totally understandable. That being said, none of the CAs I have flown with who are in that boat are overly negative. Most are fun to fly with, and good mentors overall. No complaints from me.
For those of you who are newer to the industry, and "have it all figured out"... bear in mind that all of the older folks at EDV came here with the same enthusiasm as you have now. Get in, do your time, move up. That was the plan. Look what life did to their plans. Doesn't make them poor pilots because they didn't move up. Nor bad people, nor lazy. They did back then what we are all doing now, but for less than half the money. They scraped, scrimped, and tried to support their families with what little they made. They lost their jobs, got downgraded, some multiple times, changed jobs, etc.
So keep all of that in mind when you are judging the fine folks who are stuck here with no hope of moving on to Delta. They did their best in a world where upward mobility was nil at best. Those of us who are newer to the industry are very lucky to be where we are today. Making much better money than ever, with a bettter chance of moving up than the "old timers" ever had due to the stagnation they had to live thru.
So don't gloat, and for sure, do not think that you are better than they are just because you lucked into your current job at a time that is based on when your parents fell in love. It really has nothing to do with your skills nor who you think you are. It's all about timing.
Keep up the good work, everyone. And to those who came before, and paved the way for us to have it as good as it is today, thank you.

Thank you for the sermon, father. I think my initial statement has been twisted. I'm fully aware of how the industry was just a few years ago, you can check my post history if you care that much. Nobody had it worse than the guys trying to make a living post 9/11 and in '08. Fully aware how the SSP was a crap shoot. You're aware of it, the guys who went through it are aware of it, and I am aware of it. Can we put it to rest in the cockpit now? Can you guys stop giving a $h!t if I'm wearing a hat or not, and even better than that, can you stop caring if I choose to give announcements in the galley? What do you care, really.

Republic already got 6 of Compass' E170s, this past spring. I hadn't heard that they may lose anymore jets, just move their jets assets out of MSP west to SEA or LAX.

Supposedly DL wanted those 6 170s moved further east and CZ said they could not support that (little) amount of flying that far away from the majority of thier other flying (LAX and SEA/ limited ways to bridge aircraft and crews between the potential east system and the existing west system), so DL decided to pull the aircraft and move them to a different carrier (Republic). The Jets moved further east, but I don't know what has happened to the cz MSP/DTW routes- who the routes have gone to and how they have been upguaged/downgaged.

Wouldn't get your hopes up. I talked with two DL CAs this summer who asked whom I flew for. When I told them Endeavor Air, both looked puzzled and asked me who that was. Neither had a clue that DAL owns EDV.
Maybe THAT'S why the SSP has such a low acceptance rate? DL hasn't heard of us yet??
