The Uflymike has a gain adjustment on the mike. If it's not set right it can be obnoxious for the other guy.
I think the bigger issue is that we (myself included) as a company seem to leave our mikes hot all the time.

Really? I've been using mine for 6+ years and this is the first time I've heard this claim. If what you say is true, it's frustrating that more people don't speak up! In my opinion, fwiw, I've noticed mike problems off and on over the years, but not enough to see a trend towards one type of headset. They all can have problems

Lucky for peeps I always keep the IC off and stay silent throughout the entire flight thereby decreasing threat and error.

I still question what you're saying? Like I said earlier, you're the first one that's said anything about it. Are you sure it's not your headset or intercom volume? Just seems odd to me

In other news, some moron broke out their cell phone to check their schedule with an FAA observer in the jumpseat. Although walking into a spinning propeller is a bit more moronic... Oh well, you chime in and make some humor.
