Anybody speculate what people didn't like about it?

That sucks if we really lost it. We better get something else downtown. I've been to Reds games, and lots of good places to eat in Covington, Cincinnati, and Newport near river; great running paths on riverwalk. Van was fine .

Yea of the 4 times I stayed there the van was late 3 times. I've seen numerous crews take cabs. Still though, it was near a lot of great stuff.

Good ole red beard got canned, just found that out. I really loved his 45 mn backroad routes to the hotel on our 11 hour overnights.

Good riddance to that crap hole. The complaints varied and there were many, and it was not due to the hotel mafia I can tell you that. My biggest complaint was the transportation reliability and the road noise.

Everyone needs to quit being divas. Is it dumb? Yes. Dangerous? HA. If you make a welcome announcement like most people do, stepping into the cabin to do it takes less than 30 seconds more.

Guess we should stop trying to fight for long and short overnights if people don't like 20 minute van rides to somewhere downtown or more exciting than a place with only a gas station and subway around. Would also suggest pulling your apps down from the legacys too

The van rides probably weren't on time because the normal route on 75 was slowed up due to construction on the bridge. Which is finally over. Being downtown is cool and all, but it's not totally necessary in that market. Directly east of the field is Florence with a decent number of hotels and plenty of restaurants you can walk to or have a short van ride.

Our hotels are not like what the legacys use. In fact, it's rare that I see mainline crews at our hotels. Their contract has specific language in regards to long and short overnight hotels. And a long wait for the hotel van followed by a long drive to the hotel is a big deal when you're near the 10 hour mark for rest. Then to top it off, your room is next to a very noisy highway. I'm pretty confident that the majority of our crews will be okay with a longer van ride to a good hotel for longer overnights.

All this hoopla over the CVG hotel. Have you not overnighted in MGM yet?
